Black Bear/ProjectWILD

In March, I was fortunate enough to attend a black bear workshop for ProjectWILD educators.  We learned about living in harmony with black bears in MA and CT.  We were treated to a field experience that included tracking a radio-collared black bear.  The participants were fortunate enough to be able to hold the 4 week old cubs that were denning with the sow while she was being weighed and measured.  The cubs were safely placed with the mother in the den when the team finished processing the bear.
